Examples
Every example runs in the same viewer as the Android demo app: zoom, compass, the 2D/3D button and the basemap
button in the bottom-right corner, with the scale beside them. The viewer is examples/viewer.js.
- Live GeoJSON: points, lines and shapes that update several times a second.
-
Your own basemap: a street map from a
.pmtiles file made with
mapkern-tiles. It looks for data/seattle.pmtiles, or add ?tiles= and
the path to your file.
-
Click and hover: buildings that light up under the pointer, popups for parks and
places, and a pin you can drag. It uses the same
data/seattle.pmtiles street map.
-
Heatmap: where shops and places crowd together in downtown Seattle, drawn from the
points in the same street map file.
-
Day and night: the sun's light at any date and time, with night and twilight
over the world and buildings lit from the sun. Add
?imagery= and a tile address to see it on
your own satellite tiles.
-
Military symbols: units from a Cursor on Target file drawn as MIL-STD-2525 symbols, with
the MGRS grid of the map's center. Open your own file with the button: CoT, KML, KMZ, GPX, CSV, GeoJSON,
Shapefile, GeoPackage, GML, OpenStreetMap or a GPS track all work.
-
Terrain: Mount Rainier in 3D from Mapterhorn's elevation tiles. Open your own
elevation with the button: a
.pmtiles or .mbtiles file, or DTED, SRTM .hgt
or GeoTIFF files, or add ?elevation= and a file's path. Add ?tiles= with your street map file to see it on the hills.
